Frequently Asked Questions

What should I include in my project description?

It’s helpful for you to include detailed information about what you hope to use the project for. Magazine cover? Gift for a family member? Treating yourself to something fun? This helps me determine the timeline of the project and licensing information. Another important thing to include is your hope for the overall aesthetic of the project. How do you want it to look? Hoping I use a certain material? Are these non-negotiable for you? All of this helps me to determine if the project is a good fit for both of us. Still not sure what to include? Just type out anything you think would be helpful for me. Here are some prompts to get started:

  • Digital or print? Print size?

  • Medium (what’s it made out of? Digital or watercolor or something else?)

  • Budget

  • For professional application or personal use?

How long does a project usually take?

This really just depends on the scope of the project. That’s why I ask for so much info! But if you have a set timeline, make sure to tell me. I want to work with you on getting work done in time to meet your deadlines.

How much does a project cost?

My services generally cost industry standard illustration rates. I determine a specific cost based on the scope of the project, the budget of the client, and other extenuating circumstances. It’s a balance but one I like to find. I want you to be satisfied and stress-free. And I want my rent to keep getting paid. So let’s work together and figure out a number that fits both of our needs.
